Yasmine Pilz

Yasmine Pilz is an experienced optometrist and assistant clinical professor currently engaged at NYC Health + Hospitals since September 2015, where responsibilities include managing ocular diseases and supervising optometry interns and residents. Prior experience includes a role as an optometrist at Optical Gallery from July 2015 to May 2018, focusing on comprehensive eye exams and treating ocular diseases. Yasmine completed an ocular disease residency with SUNY College of Optometry and Woodhull Medical Center in 2014-2015, and externships at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Miami and Hillsboro, gaining expertise in low vision and primary eye care. A research fellow at the National Eye Institute in 2011, Yasmine holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience & Behavior from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
