Mikailla Carwin

Mikailla Carwin, Esq. is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Associate Court Attorney with the New York State Unified Court System since April 2024. Prior to this role, Mikailla was a Senior Staff Attorney at Legal Services NYC, focusing on consumer law, estate matters, and fair housing litigation from August 2019 to March 2024. Mikailla also contributed to the legal community as an Alumni Bar Program Mentor at CUNY School of Law, where support was provided to bar exam candidates. Additional experience includes internships with the ACLU and Advocates for Justice, along with roles as a Teaching Assistant and leadership in the National Black Law Students Association. Education includes a Doctor of Jurisprudence from CUNY School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the University at Albany.
