Karen Zipern

Karen Zipern has over 40 years of work experience in communications and marketing. Karen most recently worked at the New York Genome Center as the Senior Director of Communications. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Communications at the same company. Karen has also worked as a Strategic Communications Consultant for healthcare and pharmaceutical clients. Karen served as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Weill Cornell Medical College for ten years. Additionally, Karen has held various communications roles at Columbia University Medical Center, Maximum Communications, United Jewish Communities, Lenox Hill Hospital, Beth Israel Medical Center, and Burson-Marsteller.

Karen Zipern attended the University at Albany, SUNY from 1974 to 1978. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
