Olivia Choi

Olivia Choi is a dedicated research ambassador and undergraduate student researcher at New York University, with a focus on biological sciences. In the role of research ambassador since August 2023, Olivia represents student interests and advocates for undergraduate research, collaborating with faculty and leading workshops. As a student researcher at the New York Genome Center, Olivia conducts research on long non-coding RNAs and autism-related genes under Professor Neville Sanjana, and has received the NYU Dean's Undergraduate Research Fund for related projects. Previous experience includes serving as a summer resident advisor, fostering community among residents, and working as a researcher on the Pink Concussions Project, contributing to a literature review on traumatic brain injuries. Olivia is pursuing a bachelor's degree in biology and has developed a strong foundation in various experimental techniques.
