The New York Genome Center
Stella Park is an undergraduate researcher at the New York Genome Center since February 2022, specializing in analyzing long read RNA-seq data to identify novel isoforms of RNA binding proteins and their tissue-specific expression. Previously, Stella contributed to research at Columbia University Irving Medical Center from May 2021 to June 2022, focusing on the structural control of insulin receptor endocytosis in relation to cell division, employing techniques such as transfection and Western blot. Prior experience includes an operations internship at KAOS Foundation, where Stella assisted in transitioning the organization to online content distribution, and a project internship at Samsung Genome Institute, reviewing single-nucleotide polymorphism research papers. Stella is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University, expected to graduate in 2024.
