Katrine Husum

Katrine Husum has extensive work experience in project and alliance management in the pharmaceutical industry. Katrine is currently the VP and Head of Project and Alliance Management at Nykode Therapeutics, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director and Director of Project and Alliance Management at the same company from November 2021 to May 2022 and from December 2020 to November 2021, respectively. Katrine started their tenure at Nykode Therapeutics as a Project Lead in January 2020.

Before joining Nykode Therapeutics, Husum briefly worked as a Project Director at an undisclosed company in January 2020.

From 2015 to 2019, Husum worked at LEO Pharma as a Global Project Director, leading an in-licensed project in phase II. Katrine also served as the Interim Head of Project Management in Global Development, R&D from February 2019 to May 2019, where they re-established the project management department and was a member of the Global Development Leadership team. Katrine started their time at LEO Pharma as a Senior Project Leader in January 2015.

Husum previously worked as a Project Manager at Agilent Technologies in 2014 and as the Director of Strategic Project Management at Takeda Pharmaceuticals from March 2013 to June 2014. Katrine also held various positions at Takeda Pharmaceuticals (formerly Nycomed) from 1998 to 2013, including Associate Director of Strategic Project Management, Project Leader, Project Coordinator in Pharmaceutical Development, and Research Scientist in Analytical Development. In these roles, they led product development projects, life cycle management projects, and regulatory activities.

Katrine Husum holds a Master's degree in Medical Business Strategy, which they obtained from the Copenhagen Business School from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, in 2009, they completed a Diploma in MMPI at the Scandinavian International Management Institute. In the period between 1992 and 1998, Katrine studied at The Royal Danish School of Pharmacy, where they earned a Master's degree in Pharmacy. Katrine completed their high school education at Herlev Gymnasium from 1988 to 1991, specializing in Mathematics. Additionally, in November 2016, Katrine obtained a certification as a Certified Project Manager IPMA Level C from the Danish Project Management Association.
