Siri Torhaug has a range of experience in the medical field. Siri began their career in 2000 at Oslo universitetssykehus, where they worked as a Medical Doctor specializing in oncology. During their time there, they gained expertise in various areas, including breast cancer, lymphoma, sarcoma, uro-oncology, lung cancer, melanoma, head and neck tumors, and brain tumors. In 2013, they transitioned to a role as a Medical Adviser at Novartis Oncology Norway until 2016. Following that, Siri joined Novartis Oncology Nordics as the Nordic medical lead for immunotherapy and pipeline until 2017. Subsequently, they joined AstraZeneca as a Medical Consultant for the Nordic and Baltic region. During their time at AstraZeneca, they also served as the Medical Team Lead for Oncology. In 2020, Siri became the Chief Medical Officer at Nykode Therapeutics. Throughout their career, they have contributed to clinical research as a Clinical Research Associate at Smerud Medical Research in 2002. Overall, Siri Torhaug has a comprehensive background in oncology and has held various leadership positions in the industry.
Siri Torhaug attended the University of Oslo (UiO) from 1992 to 1998, where they earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Their field of study during their time at UiO was Oncology and Cancer Biology.
