David has a long history of driving growth for financial, consumer goods, and B2B institutions, with a focus on business transformation. He notably served over 15 years in progressive roles with American Express in New York, NY.

As Executive Vice President & General Manager for US Small & Mid-size Enterprises at American Express, David led one of the firm’s largest segments. In this role, David drove acquisition, growth, and retention of US business customers from sole proprietorships to customers with hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue. Earlier, as Executive Vice President, Global Marketing, Commercial Services, he led end-to-end marketing globally for the Commercial Services business.

David also served as Senior Vice President, Consumer Lending Products, overseeing the US Consumer Lending group, including all proprietary consumer credit and co-branded cards and the launch of the Amex EveryDay card, American Express’ most successful consumer launch in a decade.

David sits on the American Ballet Theatre Board of Trustees in New York, NY. He also spent four years on the Board of the American Express National Bank and its predecessor bank. A recognized thought leader, he is an accomplished speaker and writer, having been invited to speak at the Association of National Advertisers, the Consumer Electronics Show, Harvard and Tufts Universities, and the University of the West Indies. For two years he penned a bi-weekly column in the Jamaica Daily Gleaner and was a contributing author to In the River They Swim.
