Mark Newman has extensive experience in the technology sector. 🥇 Mark began their career in 2005 at Samsung Electronics, where they held the roles of Director of Strategy & Business Development and Senior Manager of Corporate Development & Strategy. In 2010, they joined Sanford C. Bernstein as a Managing Director and Senior Analyst covering technology, where they authored several Bernstein Blackbooks. 🥇 Mark then joined The Faraday Institution in 2018 as a Steering Committee Member and in 2021 as a Board Member. In 2018, they joined the Board of Directors of Energybox. In 2020, they served as an Advisor for Ivanhoe Capital Acquisition (SPAC), and as Senior Advisor/Director of Strategy and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Head of Strategy at Nyobolt. In 2021, they became an Advisor for Deep Tech Investments at Oxford Sciences Innovation. In 2022, they founded Electric Revolution Ventures and Electric Revolution Insights.

Mark Newman has an MBA from Harvard Business School in General Management, an MEng from Purdue University in Chemical Engineering, and an MEng from UCL in Chemical Engineering. In 2021, they obtained a Certificate from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in the Oxford Private Markets Investment Programme. In 2020, they obtained a Certificate from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford in the Oxford Entrepreneurship: Venture Finance Programme.
