John G. Hunter

John G. Hunter currently serves as the Medical Director of Perioperative Services at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and holds the title of Professor of Clinical Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College. With extensive experience, Hunter has been associated with New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital since 1988, where key roles include Vice Chairman of the Department of Surgery and Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery. Additionally, Hunter contributes as a Clinical Editor for the Aesthetic Surgery Journal and as an Associate Editor for multiple prestigious medical journals. Hunter's military service includes a position as Captain and Fleet Medical Officer in the New York Naval Militia. With a robust educational background, Hunter possesses an MD magna cum laude from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and a master’s in medical management from Carnegie Mellon University.
