Phyllis August is a Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College with specialties in nephrology, hypertension, internal medicine, and obstetric medicine. Since 1980, they have served as an Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, focusing on patient care, clinical research, and graduate medical education. Additionally, they have held the position of Theresa Lang Director of the Lang Center for Research and Education at New York Hospital Queens since 2002, dedicated to community health improvement through innovative research. As the Program Director of the Division of Nephrology and Hypertension since 2005, Phyllis currently directs graduate medical education within that division. They earned a BA in Biology from Harvard University from 1969 to 1973.
