Sherief Ahmed

Sherief Ahmed serves as the Chief Privacy Officer and IT Director for Internal Audit and Analytics at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital since June 2020. Previously, Sherief held positions at Weill Cornell Medicine, including Assistant Director of Privacy and Security and Privacy and Security Architect, where responsibilities included managing internal audits, writing executive summaries, and conducting risk assessments for projects. Prior experience includes the role of Health Information Technology Manager at Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State, overseeing technology operations for clinics, managing EMR software implementations, and establishing health information exchange systems. Additional roles span various organizations, such as IT Infrastructure Project Coordinator at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and Technology & Systems Consultant at ICorps Technology. Sherief holds a degree from the University at Buffalo.
