Alanna Flores

Alanna Flores is an experienced data and insights analyst currently working at The New York Times since September 2024. Prior to this role, Alanna served as a data scientist at Schmidt Futures in the Technologists for Global Transformation Program from September 2022 to September 2024. Additional experience includes software engineering and data science internships at The Washington Post, Recidiviz, and Accountability Counsel, as well as a data science fellowship at the Stanford Computational Policy Lab. Alanna holds a Master of Science in Management Science and Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University. Alanna is also pursuing a degree in Plant-Based Culinary Arts at the Institute of Culinary Education, expected to complete in November 2025.
