Aritz Parra

Aritz Parra is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in managing news coverage across multiple formats and regions. Currently serving as a Senior Producer at The New York Times since August 2024, Aritz previously held the position of Southern Europe News Director at The Associated Press from November 2010 to August 2024, overseeing coverage in several countries, including Portugal, Spain, and Italy. Throughout a career that includes roles as Chief Correspondent and Senior Producer at AP, Aritz has demonstrated expertise in video production, editorial coordination, and budget management. Aritz's early experience includes reporting for El Mundo and working as Head of Press and Information for the Spain Pavilion at Expo Shanghai 2010. Aritz holds degrees in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Navarra and Economics Journalism from Centro de Estudios Económicos y Comerciales.
