David Gurian-Peck

VP, Subscription Growth & Planning at The New York Times

David Gurian-Peck is the current Vice President of Subscription Growth & Planning at The New York Times. Prior to their current position, they were a Consultant at The Boston Consulting Group from August 2010 to February 2014.

Gurian-Peck has always had a focus and passion for the media industry. David's previous client work includes improving the consumer marketing capabilities of a newspaper company, including building a customer lifetime value model; analyzing the future of broadcast television; developing and implementing a business plan for new TV programming; helping a newspaper build a new digital product, including defining the product and managing strategic partnerships; assessing the travel information landscape for a media company; and drafting a speech on the future of newspapers and local news.

In addition to their media-related client work, Gurian-Peck has also completed strategy, due diligence, pricing, cost reducing, implementation, and change management projects for leading companies in insurance, financial services, private equity, pharmaceuticals, and business services.

Gurian-Peck's journey in the communications field began as an Intern in the Communications Department at the Center for American Progress from January 2009 to May 2009.

David Gurian-Peck received a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Economics from The Wharton School. David also attended Hunter College High School.
