Jonathan Knight is a seasoned gaming executive with extensive experience across prominent companies in the industry. Currently serving as SVP and Head of Games at The New York Times since September 2020, Jonathan is focused on establishing the digital puzzle games segment as a premier subscription destination, successfully leading the integration of the popular game, Wordle. Previously, Jonathan held the position of VP and Studio Head at WB Games San Francisco from March 2016 to February 2020, where leadership resulted in the successful launch of the AR game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite. Prior to that, Jonathan was SVP of Games at Zynga, overseeing major titles such as FarmVille and Words With Friends, leading a team of over 300 employees. Jonathan's career began at Electronic Arts as VP and Executive Producer, where significant contributions were made to The Sims franchise, and included time at Activision as Executive Producer for key franchises like Star Trek and Quake. Jonathan holds a Master’s Degree in Directing from Boston University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Drama with a minor in Mathematics from Colorado College.
