Alana Miller-Engel

Alana Miller-Engel is a skilled professional with extensive experience in sign language interpreting and coordination of interpreting services. Currently serving as a Secretary at NYU Langone Health since October 2024, Alana has a longstanding role as a Sign Language Interpreter with both Deaf & Hard of Hearing Interpreting Services, Inc. and SignTalk, LLC. since December 2013. Previously, Alana held the position of Interpreter Coordinator at Mill Neck Family of Organizations from February 2013 to July 2024, overseeing over 120 interpreters, managing payroll, coordinating service requests, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Alana also has experience as a Store Manager at The Light Touch and has completed various internships, enhancing skills in medical and educational interpreting.
