Dr. Patricia D. Cherasard

Dr. Patricia D. Cherasard currently serves as the APP Manager for Bariatric Surgery at NYU Langone Long Island Surgical Associates since December 2019 and is also a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee for the Envision Scholars Academy at NYU Long Island School of Medicine since June 2019. With extensive experience at NYU Winthrop Hospital as Chief Bariatric Surgical Physician Assistant since December 2009, Dr. Cherasard specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery across various fields including General Surgery and Bariatrics. Prior experience includes roles as Chief Surgical Physician Assistant at New Island Hospital and Supervising Surgical Physician Assistant at United Surgical Assistants, Inc. Dr. Cherasard’s educational background includes a Doctor of Health Science from Keiser University, an MBA from Metropolitan College of New York, and a Physician Assistant degree from Catholic Medical Center/St. John's University.
