Mary Cochenour

Mary Cochenour is a dedicated nursing professional currently serving as a Senior Staff Nurse at NYU Langone Health since March 2024, having previously completed a Nurse Residency and worked as a Staff Nurse within the Acute Care Nursing Resource Team. An experienced server at Red Lobster and a Food Service Worker at Augusta National Golf Club during the 2023 Masters Tournament, Mary also contributed significantly to public health efforts as a Public Health Intern with Campus Kitchen, gaining hands-on experience in tackling food insecurity and leading community projects. As President of Breaking the Shackles, Inc., overarching leadership was provided to an executive team, while also organizing initiatives as Vice President of Cause Activation. Earlier experiences include patient care assistance at Direct Care Innovations and academic tutoring at the University of Georgia. Mary holds a Master's degree in Registered Nursing from Augusta University, a Health Promotion degree from the University of Georgia, and a minor in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Valencia.
