Michael Bender

Michael Bender, MD, is an accomplished medical professional currently serving as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at NYU Long Island School of Medicine and as a Medical Doctor at NYU Langone Health, where responsibilities include Medical Director of Respiratory Therapy and Associate Medical Director of the Medical Intensive Care Unit. Prior experience includes a role as Assistant Attending at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and various academic and clinical positions at Weill Cornell Medicine, where training included a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and an internal medicine residency. Michael Bender earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with Distinction in Community Service from the University of Rochester and a Bachelor of Science degree, cum laude, in Applied Economics from Cornell University.
