Rachel-Maria Brown Talaska

Rachel-Maria Brown Talaska, MD, currently serves as the Director of the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Task Force for the American College of Cardiology's New York State Chapter and as an Education Ambassador for the American Heart Association. Rachel-Maria has been a Director in various capacities at Northwell Health since August 2017, overseeing Inpatient Cardiology, the Cardiology Consult Service, and the Cardiac Care Unit. Previously, Rachel-Maria held the position of Chief Fellow in Cardiology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital from July 2014 to June 2017, following a residency in General Internal Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital from 2011 to 2014. Rachel-Maria earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2011 and a Bachelor’s Degree in History of Science and History of Medicine from Yale University in 2006.
