Gilda Savonitto

Gilda Savonitto, PhD, currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at OGS, focusing on the development of control and calibration protocols for newly acquired oceanographic instrumentation. Prior to this role, Gilda completed a PhD at Università degli Studi di Trieste, where extensive research was conducted from November 2018 to September 2022. Relevant experience includes an internship at the Israel Oceanographic & Limnological Research's National Centre for Mariculture from February to September 2018, and earlier internships at OGS and Centro ricerca cetacei srl. Gilda holds a Laurea Magistrale in Ecology of Global Change and a Laurea Triennale in Environmental Sciences from the Università degli Studi di Trieste and Università degli Studi di Udine, respectively.
