Elham Javed

Elham Javed is a highly accomplished researcher specializing in cell biology and regenerative medicine, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Thomas Jefferson University since January 2013, where responsibilities include characterizing signaling pathways involved in airway smooth muscle functions and collaborating on various projects. Javed's doctoral research focused on the roles of intermediate filament proteins in bladder smooth muscle dysfunction and mitochondrial impairment. Prior experiences include significant contributions as a Research Assistant, where Javed developed protocols for motor neuron differentiation and reduced degeneration in spinal cord injury models, as well as leadership roles in community programs aimed at aiding international students. Javed holds a PhD in Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, alongside a Master's in Molecular Medicine and a Bachelor's in Biotechnology, with additional experience in database design and project management across various educational and healthcare settings.
