Azza Sarfraz

Azza Sarfraz is a dedicated research professional currently serving as a Research Assistant in the Pediatrics and Child Health department at Aga Khan University, Karachi, since March 2019. Azza initially led a major clinical trial funded by the Gates Foundation on environmental enteropathy and malnutrition. In addition to this role, Azza is the Managing Editor of the Pakistan Journal of Surgery and Medicine, overseeing journal policies and peer-review processes, and acts as Principal Investigator at On. Target Molecules Biotech Inc, focusing on FDA approval for a novel breast cancer immunotherapy. Azza's previous experience includes serving as a Graduate Medical Researcher at Larkin Community Hospital, where leadership resulted in multiple publications and clinical trials during the COVID-19 pandemic, and as Co-Lead for the Innovation Team of the World Food Programme's vaccinateHERs project. Azza holds an MBBS degree from Aga Khan University and a High School Diploma from the International School of Choueifat- Lahore.
