Regional Head - South at O2 Power

Viswanath KS has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. VISWANATH is currently working as the Regional Head - South at O2 Power since June 2022. Before that, they were associated with ReNew Power for nearly 8 years, starting from December 2014 to May 2022. During their tenure at ReNew Power, they held the position of State Head - Karnataka and was responsible for state regional affairs, government relations, business development, and execution support for renewable energy projects. VISWANATH successfully led the establishment of the regional office in Bengaluru and played a key role in operational wind assets' capacity expansion from 68 MW to 2300 MW in Karnataka.

Prior to ReNew Power, Viswanath worked at ENERCON, where they held the role of AGM - Offtake from November 2011 to December 2014. VISWANATH also had an important role at Gnanasree Project Services, where they worked as a Free Lancer Consultant from June 2005 to November 2011. In this position, they provided consultancy services to various mini hydro project development companies in Karnataka, handling tasks such as land acquisition, survey, statutory approvals, and power evacuations.

Earlier in their career, Viswanath served as a Liaison Manager at Sandur Power Company Private Ltd, from April 2000 to June 2005. VISWANATH was involved in the commissioning of a 1.5 MW capacity mini hydro project in Hassan District. VISWANATH'sresponsibilities included overseeing the project from start to commissioning. Before that, they worked at ECE Elevators as an Assistant Manager - Sales from January 1994 to April 2000, where they focused on sales, after-sales services, and payment collections for passenger and goods lifts.

Viswanath KS pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology, starting in 1989 and completing in 1993. VISWANATH also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Govt High School in Kadaba, Tumakuru District during the same time period under the Mysore University.
