Dr. Derrick L. Smith

Dr. Derrick L. Smith has had a diverse work experience. Currently, they serve as the Chief of Security at Oak Hammock at the University of Florida since November 2018. In addition, they have been working as the Materials And Logistics Manager for the Florida Army National Guard since July 2008. Dr. Smith is also the Founding Pastor at The Ark Church of Gainesville starting from February 2022. Previously, they were the Chief Executive Officer at The Scribe Administrative Firm from January 2020 to March 2022. Lastly, they have served as the President of Battle Buddies Outreach Center, Inc. from August 2016 to March 2022.

Dr. Derrick L. Smith received their Bachelor's degree in Biblical and Theological Studies with a focus on Philosophy and Religious Studies from Liberty University in 2016. Dr. Derrick then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Christian Ministries/Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University between 2017 and 2019. Continuing their academic journey, Dr. Smith obtained their Doctor of Education degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University from 2019 to 2022.
