Matt Causey has an extensive work experience in finance and accounting. Matt is currently the Vice President of Finance at the Oakland Athletics since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Senior Vice President at TopBloc from 2021 to 2022. From 2007 to 2021, Matt held various roles at the San Francisco Giants, including Vice President of Finance, Assistant Controller, Revenue Analyst, and Senior Accountant. Before their time at the Giants, they worked as an Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers from 2004 to 2007, where they specialized in financial statement audits and compliance.
Matt Causey attended the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 2004. Matt also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant, which was obtained in California.
