Ray Abreu

Director Of Latin American Operations at Oakland Athletics

Ray Abreu has a diverse work experience in the sports industry. Ray served as the Director of Latin American Operations for the Oakland Athletics from 1994 onwards, where they were responsible for overseeing the Dominican Training Complex and developing potential MLB players. In 2018, Abreu became the General Manager for Toros del Este, leading the team to become the National and Caribbean Winter League Champions in 2019-2020. Ray was also recognized as the Executive of the Year by the Dominican Republic Commissioner of baseball. Abreu previously worked as the General Manager for Escogido Baseball Club in 2005 and as a Consultant for Club Atletico Licey, Inc from 1999 to 2002.

Ray Abreu earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management, with a specialization in General Business, from Saint Peter's University. Ray attended the university from 1989 to 1993. In 1999, Ray obtained a certification in MLB Scout School from MLB.
