Varun Akula is a seasoned real estate professional with extensive experience in development, acquisitions, asset management, and entitlements. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Development at CenterCal Properties since June 2024, Varun previously held the position of Managing Director at Hines from August 2008 to May 2024, during which time responsibilities included overseeing various aspects of real estate projects. Varun's career began with key roles as Owner at The Quincy Grille and internships at renowned firms such as NAI Realvest, The Staubach Company, and T. Rowe Price. Varun holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University, completed in 2008, and attended Lake Highland Preparatory School from 1992 to 2004.
