Elizabeth Paniagua is an experienced education professional with a strong background in school counseling and post-secondary readiness. Currently serving as the Post-Secondary Readiness Coordinator for the Oakland Unified School District since December 2018, Elizabeth coordinates support and services for school counselors and provides professional development opportunities. Prior to this role, Elizabeth worked as a school counselor at Oakland International High School, focusing on personal, academic, and career advising for immigrant and ELL students. With experience as an adjunct counselor at Laney College and a counselor for the Gateway to College program, Elizabeth has developed expertise in advising students on education pathways and career options. Elizabeth holds a Master’s degree in Counseling from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Community and Regional Development from the University of California, Davis.
