Sam Davis

Sam Davis is an accomplished education leader and data analyst with extensive experience in diverse educational settings. Currently serving as the School Board President and School Board Trustee for the Oakland Unified School District since November 2020, Sam also holds the position of Analyst at the University of California Office of the President, focused on developing the Transcript Evaluation Service. Previous roles include teaching coding and robotics at Oakland SOL Afterschool Program, data visualization analysis at Schoolzilla, and data science at Alagen, LLC. Sam has taught mathematics at various institutions, including Laney College and Contra Costa College, and coordinated family outreach programs at Manzanita SEED School. Sam holds a Master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from California State University - East Bay and a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley.
