Executive Director Of Career Tech Education at Oakmont Education

Kristina Ropos, M.Ed. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Their most recent position is as the Executive Director of Career Tech Education at Oakmont Education, where they are currently employed. Prior to this, they served as the ACTE Postsecondary Adult Career Education Division Vice President for the Association for Career and Technical Education from 2020 onwards. In 2022, they also worked as a Workforce Development Planning Consultant for American Electric Power. From 2019 to 2022, Kristina held the role of Learning and Development Manager at ITW, where they managed the implementation of work-based learning programs. From 2015 to 2019, they worked at the Ohio Department of Education as part of the State Support Team for the Office of Exceptional Children, focusing on school improvement and special education compliance. In 2014, they served as the Director of Education for the Ohio Valley Associated Builders and Contractors, overseeing construction trades training and managing departmental operations. Kristina has also worked as a Marketing/Supply Chain Management Instructor at Greene County Career Center from 2012 to 2014, and as a Business Foundations Instructor at Miami Valley Career Technology Center from 1997 to 2012, where they taught business skills and assisted students with job applications and employability skills. Prior to their career in education, Kristina worked as an Architectural Draftsman for Benchmark Homes from 1987 to 2004, where they focused on residential and commercial design work.

Kristina Ropos, M.Ed. completed their Bachelor's degree in General Studies - Business, Marketing from Indiana Wesleyan University in the spring of 2013. Kristina then pursued a Master's degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Purdue University, completing it in 2017. In 2014, they obtained a Master's Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Kaplan University. Prior to their higher education, Kristina received an Associate's degree in Architectural Drafting from Montgomery County Joint Vocational School in 1994. Kristina also completed a series of certifications, including Designing a Training Program: Setting Goals, Objectives, and Mediums from LinkedIn in November 2020, Certified Group Fitness Instructor from Athletics and Fitness Association of America - AFAA in December 2018, National Center for Construction Education Research - Master Trainer from NCCER in June 2013, and Event Management Certification from the International Institute of Event Management in August 2012. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Education - MEd degree in Educational Leadership from Purdue University.
