Jenea Dawkins has extensive work experience in the field of mental health and social services. Jenea worked at Oaks Integrated Care from 2006 to 2013 and again from 2014 to the present. During their time there, they served as a Program Supervisor, overseeing residential and treatment efforts and coordinating consumer care and transition to a higher or lower level of care. Jenea also worked as a Program Director, where they were responsible for support services for families of adults with severe mental illness, as well as overseeing adult residential programs. Prior to their work at Oaks Integrated Care, Jenea worked as a Mental Health Technician II at Kennedy Health, where they assisted patients with daily living activities and provided counseling. Jenea also worked as a Probation Officer at State of NJ Judiciary, assisting a judge with court docket management for restraining orders and modifications of court orders. Earlier in their career, they were a Sr. Case Manager at Volunteers of America Delaware Valley, where they developed service plans, monitored client progress, and facilitated workshops and activities for client well-being. Overall, Jenea Dawkins has a strong background in program coordination, clinical direction, and client support in the mental health field.

Jenea Dawkins holds a Master's Degree in Social Work from Rutgers University- School of Social Work, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Farileigh Dickinson University, from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their academic achievements, Jenea obtained a certification as a School Social Worker from the State of New Jersey in August 2012.
