Paola Calderón-Gómez

Paola Calderón-Gómez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies.

In this role, they are responsible for creating a product vision and supporting teams and stakeholders to work towards it. Paola also prioritizes the backlog and populates it with new stories, conducts problem and solution exploration sessions, builds and updates roadmaps, plans releases based on priorities, and collaborates with stakeholders to validate solutions and implementations.

Prior to OatFi, Paola worked at Gorilla Logic. From January 2021 to June 2022, they served as a Product Owner, where they prioritized deliverables, managed the backlog, and anticipated client needs. Paola also understood the business, product, and user expectations to generate a final product aligned with the vision. Earlier at Gorilla Logic, from August 2019 to December 2020, they worked as an Area Manager. In this role, they interacted with clients to understand team needs, partnered with recruitment to provide high-quality teams, conducted performance reviews, and developed career path objectives for team members. Additionally, from February 2016 to July 2019, Paola served as a Senior Software Engineer at Gorilla Logic, where they proposed and implemented solutions for an Imagery application, led a technical team, and negotiated backlog priorities with Product Owners and stakeholders.

Before joining Gorilla Logic, Paola worked at Hewlett Packard Enterprise from April 2014 to February 2016 as a Technology Consultant. Paola'sresponsibilities included developing Ruby on Rails and Java applications for the Oil & Gas industry, supporting applications, implementing enhancements, and being involved in various innovation initiatives.

Prior to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Paola worked at Avantica Technologies. In 2014, they briefly worked as a Software Engineer, and from July 2012 to December 2013, they served as a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Overall, Paola Calderón-Gómez has a strong background in product management and software engineering, with experience in team leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and agile development methodologies. Paola has worked in various industries, including finance, technology consulting, and software development for the Oil & Gas industry.

Paola Calderón-Gómez holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics, which they acquired from Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) between 2016 and 2018. Prior to that, they attained two Bachelor's degrees in Computer Engineering from Tecnológico de Costa Rica, from 2009 to 2012. Paola's additional certifications include being a Certified SAFe® 4 Agilist, obtained from Scaled Agile, Inc. in March 2019.
