M. Alison Eisendrath

M. Alison Eisendrath has a comprehensive work experience in the field of collections and museums. M. Alison is currently serving as the Director of Collections at the Obama Foundation since 2018. Prior to this, they held several roles at the Chicago History Museum from 1999 to 2018, including the Andrew W. Mellon Director of Collections and Chief Collection Manager. M. Alison also worked as a Collection Manager at the Museum of the City of New York from 1995 to 1999, and as a Collections and Exhibition Assistant at the Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum from 1993 to 1994. Additionally, they worked as an Assistant to the Director at the Center for the Study of Southern Culture, University of Mississippi from 1989 to 1991. Eisendrath was also an Advisory Board Member at the Illinois State Historical Records Advisory Board from 2011 to 2016.

M. Alison Eisendrath obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Barnard College in the years 1983 to 1988. From 1991 to 1994, Eisendrath pursued a Master of Arts degree in American Studies at New York University.
