Rob Kent

Rob Kent is an experienced museum professional currently serving as the Registrar for the Museum Team at the Obama Foundation since June 2019. Prior to this role, Rob was the Registrar at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago from November 2010 to May 2019. Rob also contributed as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Chicago Graham School between January 2013 and February 2015, teaching a course on Collections Policy and Procedure for the Artifact Collection Care Certificate Program. Previous experience includes positions as Senior Collection Manager and Collection Manager for Decorative, Industrial & Fine Arts at the Chicago History Museum from April 1998 to November 2010, as well as working as a Museum Collections Aide at Pueblo Grande Museum from January 1996 to March 1998. Rob holds an M.A. in Anthropology with a focus on Museum Studies from Arizona State University and a B.A. in Anthropology and Spanish from Indiana University Bloomington.
