Christopher Jenkins currently serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Support and Visiting Assistant Professor of Musicology at Oberlin College since July 2014. With a diverse background in music and international relations, Christopher has held positions such as Research Intern at the Hudson Institute, where research focused on international security, and at the U.S. Department of State for the Bureau of Southeast Asian Affairs. As Deputy Director at Fundación Barenboim-Said, Christopher led music education initiatives for Palestinian students. Additional roles include violist with Catalyst Quartet and freelance performances with prestigious ensembles and on Broadway. Educational credentials include a PhD in Historical Musicology from Case Western Reserve University and multiple degrees in music performance and international relations.
