Charles Engelen

Charles Engelen is an experienced design professional with a diverse background in UX/UI and design leadership. As the founder of Obodo since January 2020, Charles has driven innovation and strategy within the company. Previously, as Design Lead at Next from January 2022 to September 2023, Charles managed cross-functional design initiatives and contributed to the international expansion. Charles also served as Design Lead at Bain & Company and Marks and Spencer, where notable achievements included conducting a Design Sprint training for 30 designers and leading the revamp of the M&S Advent Calendar feature in the Sparks loyalty app. Prior experience includes a role as UX/UI Designer at COWORKSHOP from January 2016 to January 2020. Charles completed education at Rossall School from 1994 to 2001.
