Dimitrios Papakostas

Dimitrios Papakostas is an experienced Information Security Professional with a strong track record in the field. Dimitrios currently works as the Chief Information Security Officer at Obrela Security Industries, a leading Cyber Risk Management Group of Companies in Greece. In this role, they align security with business strategies and implements world-class cybersecurity capabilities. Before joining ENCODE, Dimitrios worked as an Editor at DOL (DHMOSIOGRAFIKOS ORGANISMOS LAMPRAKH) and as a Lab Manager, Editor in Chief, and System/Network Administrator at Motor Press. Dimitrios began their career in the Greek Army, specializing in Telex Communications and Cryptography during their 18-month compulsory military service.

Dimitrios Papakostas has a diverse education history spanning several years. In 2014, they received a CCNP Security Certification (Cisco Certified Network Security Professional) with a focus on Network Security. Dimitrios also completed training in CNSS 4013, which is a recognized standard in the field of Network Security by both the National Security Agency (NSA) and CNSS. Moving further back, in 1993, they pursued studies in Network Design, Analysis, Planning, Implementation, and Management at E.O.T. (Education and Training Center). In the following year, in 1994, they focused on Database Design, Analysis, Planning, and Management at the same institution.

Lastly, Dimitrios holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens). The specific years of enrollment for this degree were not provided.
