Vern DeMille

Vern DeMille has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2005. In that year, they began their career as an Intern at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, providing developer support and containment and 3rd tier customer support for custom software. Vern then moved up to Associate Engineer, where they maintained, updated, and corrected many different custom software pieces. In 2009, they became a Software Engineer at ARCOM, developing a rich client application for creating and updating architecture specifications. In 2013, they were hired as a Software Architect at AutoPoint, a Solera company, developing rich client, thin client, and web applications both for external and internal use. Vern then became a Sr. Software Engineer (Contractor) at Echopass, which was acquired by Genesys in 2013. In 2014, they were hired as Principal Programmer at Evidon from Crownpeak, where they were the Team Lead on the Scanner team, responsible for building back end web page scanning technology and front end display for gathered data. Most recently, in 2020, they were hired as a Senior Cloud Engineer at Observian.

Vern DeMille received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Westminster College between 2003 and 2006. In July of 2020, they obtained an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and in May of 2020 they obtained a HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification from HashiCorp.
