Rob Donovan

Senior Combat Designer at Obsidian Entertainment

Rob Donovan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the gaming industry. Rob is currently employed as a Senior Combat Designer at Obsidian Entertainment since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Electronic Arts (EA) in various roles, including Associate Design Director, Senior Game Designer, Game Designer, and Systems Designer. During their time at EA, they worked on various projects, including the development of DLCs and updates for Battlefield: Hardline.

Before joining EA, Rob worked as a Level Designer (Contract) at Electronic Arts in 2012. Rob also worked as a Designer (Contract) at Large Animal Games in the same year, where they created levels for the game "Nomsters". Additionally, Rob worked as an Adjunct Professor at Bloomfield College in 2012, teaching Level Design courses.

Earlier in their career, Rob worked at Kaos Studios as an Associate Level Designer and QA Tester, where they contributed to the development of the game "Homefront". Rob also worked at Double Fine Productions as a Tester, providing input to the game design of "Brutal Legend". Rob's experience also includes working as a Gameplay Balancer and QA Tester at Vivendi Universal Games, QA Tester at Square Enix, and Assistant Producer at Atari.
