Malko Gindrat

Malko Gindrat is an experienced Patent Engineer and Technology Manager with a specialization in intellectual property (IP) management and R&D oversight. Currently employed at Oerlikon since June 2014, Malko conducts IP monitoring and freedom to operate (FTO) analyses, manages patent portfolio filings and actions, and represents the company as Deputy CTO in engagements with key stakeholders. Prior to Oerlikon, Malko served as Head of Process Solutions and Project Manager R&D at Sulzer, focusing on large-scale R&D projects and innovative coating technologies for green energy solutions. Malko's academic background includes a PhD and a physics engineering degree from EPFL, with early experience as a software programmer.
