Duncan Thompson

Duncan Thompson's work experience begins with their role as a Summer Intern at Fuel Cell Today in 2010 and 2011. Duncan then worked as a Consultant at Sopra from October 2013 to August 2017, where they focused on delivering insight and analysis for remediation projects within Personal and Business Banking. Following this, they joined Hive | Centrica Hive Limited as an MI and Insight Analyst from August 2017 to November 2019, where they rebuilt the reporting infrastructure and provided ad-hoc analysis to support business decisions. Duncan then transitioned to the role of MI Manager at Hive from November 2019 to November 2020, where they led a project delivering reporting to stakeholders and supported data science-led modeling. In November 2020, Duncan joined British Gas Evolve as the Head of Operational MI, overseeing a team responsible for delivering operational and regulatory reports while migrating to a new data warehouse and implementing PowerBI. Currently, they are working at Ocado Technology, starting as a Product Analyst from August 2021 to June 2022, then as a Lead Analyst from June 2022 to March 2023, and currently serves as the Data Ops Lead for Analytics.

Duncan Thompson attended the University of York from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended The King's School Canterbury from 2004 to 2009, but no degree or field of study information is available. Apart from their education, Duncan also holds a Certificate in Business Accounting from CIMA, which was obtained in 2017, and a Base SAS certification from SAS, but the year of acquisition is unknown.
