Head Of Engineering at Ocado Technology

Steve Dunkley has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Steve started their career as an Officer in the British Army and served until 2008. Following that, they held the position of Technical Manager at Steritrox from 2005 to 2009. After that, they worked as a Subcontract Manager at Repair Group Ltd in 2009. In 2011, they joined Vehicle Monitor Corporation as an Engineer & UK Manager, where they served until 2015. In the same year, they took on the role of Engineering Project Team Leader at Caterpillar Inc. for a brief period of four months. Steve then served as Business Development Director at PCL Ceramics Ltd from 2015 to 2016, where they played a key role in developing synthetic moulds, materials, equipment, and casting technology. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at Ocado Engineering as the Automation Realisation & Central Engineering Manager. Steve then moved to Ocado Group, where they held two positions: Product Engineering Manager from 2019 to 2020 and currently serves as the Head of Product Application Engineering. In 2023, they will join Ocado Technology as the Head of Engineering.

Steve Dunkley attended Prince Henry's High School from 1993 to 1999. Steve then pursued a degree in Systems Engineering at Loughborough University from 1999 to 2004, earning an MEng. In 2007, they enrolled at The Open University and completed PGCert's in Business Administration & Technology Management from 2007 to 2011. Later, from 2012 to 2014, they studied at The Open University Business School, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus in Technology Management.
