Peter Svoisky

Peter Svoisky has a robust background in physics and engineering, currently serving as Principal and Senior Financial Engineer at OCC since January 2016. Prior to this role, Peter worked at the University of Virginia as a Research Associate focused on QCD/Heavy Flavor research in late 2015. Between 2010 and 2015, Peter was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Oklahoma, leading the QCD/Heavy Flavor group at the Fermilab D0 experiment and overseeing multiple research projects that resulted in journal publications. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Researcher position at Radboud University Nijmegen, where Peter contributed to the maintenance and upgrades of silicon microstrip detectors and engaged in super-symmetric Higgs research. Peter began academic pursuits at the University of Notre Dame, where work included developing machine learning techniques and instructing various physics courses, culminating in a PhD in Physics. Peter holds a Master's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
