Jocelyn January is a dedicated professional with diverse experience in human resources and mentoring. Currently, as a Human Resources Student Assistant at Occidental College since September 2022, Jocelyn updates data spreadsheets in Excel and manages the human resources email account. In parallel, as a Mentor for the Schuler Scholar Program since August 2022, Jocelyn provides guidance to first-generation incoming freshmen in their transition to college, focusing on essential skills such as time management, communication, and leadership. Previously, Jocelyn served as a Research Assistant at Occidental College, where responsibilities included data organization and communication with California colleges for partnership programs, and as a Cashier at the Occidental College Bookstore, handling store operations and online order processing. Jocelyn holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Occidental College, earned in May 2023.
