Rob Flot

VP, Student Affairs & Dean of Students at Occidental College

Rob Flot is the Vice-President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students at Occidental College in Los Angeles, where he's been since July of 2017. Oxy is a very selective small liberal arts college. A native of Illinois, Rob earned his BA in psychology and his master’s in clinical psychology from Eastern Illinois University, and completed Ph.D. coursework in counseling psychology from Indiana State University. Rob came to Oxy from Lake Forest College, near Chicago – where he served as its Vice President and Dean of Students for nine years. Rob has been working in student affairs for over 25 years, spending about 10 years at a university counseling center, then working as the director of an intercultural relations office for a number of years, before moving into the VPSA/DOS role.
