Jim Castro currently serves as Vice President and Co-Programming Chair, as well as Secretary and Treasurer for the Houston Chapter of the Society for Corporate Governance since April 2021. With extensive experience in corporate governance, Jim has been a Senior Paralegal at Oxy since January 2015, following a role as Paralegal in the same field. Previous legal roles include paralegal positions at Kirkland & Ellis LLP specializing in M&A, Porter Hedges LLP focusing on corporate and securities matters, and CT, a Wolters Kluwer business as a Corporate Specialist. Additional paralegal experience was gained at Blumberg Excelsior, Inc., McCarter & English, LLP, UBS, and various temporary assignments early in the career.
