Joe Gosse

Joe Gosse is an experienced maritime professional with a distinguished career as a captain across various vessels. Currently serving as Captain of the passenger ferry at Canship Ugland Ltd. since July 2023, Gosse also holds the position of Captain at Ocean / Océan and has engaged in contract employment as a captain since June 2022. Prior roles include Captain at McAsphalt Industries Limited, Ship Master at Ocean Group, and a Master on the Terremare 1 and hopper barge for Boskalis Canada. Between 2016 and 2019, Gosse was a captain contractor for V-Ships, operating a DP2 PSV in the North Sea. Earlier career experience includes serving as captain on PSV and AHTS vessels with C-Mar Canada (2008-2015) and operating AHTS vessels worldwide with Maersk Supply (1998-2008). Educational qualifications include a Master Mariners Certificate in Nautical Science from the Marine Institute of Newfoundland, obtained in 1990.
