Eric Newton started their work experience in 2015 as an Intern at NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration. In 2016, they worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Vermont. In 2018, they served as an Economic Development Intern at Cape Cod Commission and later as a Project Developer at Solar PV Site Development at Milton Airfield. In 2019, they worked as a Financial Analyst with the Virginia Tech Wind Turbine Team. In 2020, they joined Ocean Associates, Inc. as a Research Scientist, and later took on the role of Grants and Contracts Specialist. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director of Science Programs at Ocean Associates, Inc.
Eric Newton attended the University of Vermont from 2014 to 2016, where they pursued a field of study in Conservation Biology and Biodiversity, with a minor in Spanish. Eric then transferred to Virginia Tech, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in 2019. Eric'smajor at Virginia Tech was in Environmental Policy and Planning, with a minor in Agricultural and Applied Economics.
